The First THE NEW JAPAN Exhibition Takes Place in Tokyo This October
THE NEW JAPAN, our magazine exploring the most exciting developments in Japanese regional culture, will publish its third and latest issue, "03 MIYAZAKI," on October 1. To mark the release, we are hosting our first-ever exhibition in Tokyo, bringing our unique worldview into a physical, three-dimensional space. The venue is TIGER MOUNTAIN, an innovative bookstore and art gallery in Toranomon, Tokyo. Far more than a place to simply buy books, it serves as an third-space where visitors can connect with the creators' philosophies and engage with fellow readers. At the exhibition, visitors can browse all three issues published to date—"01 YAEYAMA ISLANDS," "02 SETOUCHI," and "03 MIYAZAKI"—and view large-format prints of photographs featured in the magazine. During the event, talk sessions will also be held featuring W. David Marx (Editor-in-Chief of THE NEW JAPAN), Kei Wakabayashi (blkswn publishers / TIGER MOUNTAIN), and Craig Mod (Writer / Photographer). Step into a space where an unseen Japan comes to light. Come and experience the world of THE NEW JAPAN.
